Central Park West

The Central Park West project is a large 3300sqft apartment composed of two previous units per the initial building layout. This enlarged footprint covers the entire building floorplan allowing for window openings facing all four orientations, with panoramic views eastward towards Central Park, Upper West side and Hudson River to the West, southern views towards Midtown skyscrapers and Upper West Side and Harlem towards North.

There is a clear separation between daytime, semi-public spaces and nightime more private rooms. The ample living room overlooks iconic Central Park with panoramic 180-degree views, which gives the space plenty of natural light and seasonal changes in the landscape. Completing the day area, adjacent to the living room there is a large bar, dining area and kitchen with breakfast nook. The kitchen can be closed off from the rest of the living area with a three-pane semi-transparent sliding door.

The night areas are accessible through a long, L-shaped corridor, which doubles as extra storage. All bedrooms/study rooms have en-suite bathrooms, and the master and guest bedrooms also have walk-in closets.

In terms of materials, the spaces are composed mainly of natural materials, such as oak floors, limestone and marble bathrooms and countertops, specialty plasters and wood cabinetry/closets. The relationship between warm materials, views and function creates a multifaceted bond between all project elements that ultimately generate a unique, timeless design to be enjoyed for decades to come.
